| Wild Honey, Scotts Square |
Breaking news: The second Wild Honey is bigger, offers past seasonal favourites on the permanent menu, and takes reservations! Fans who lament the inability to secure a seat at its self-serve Mandarin Gallery venue will discover a new ‘home’ to get cosy in – the welcoming space is divided into living and kitchen table areas, with a full 20-seater al fresco veranda overlooking Scotts Road.
While their European, English and Tunisian breakfasts continue to dominate, eight new items such as the Roman breakfast – with truffle oil-infused omelette topped with avruga caviar; Hangover sandwich with smoked speck and gorgeous pan-fried potatoes to soak up your excesses; and Caribbean breakfast comprising coconut waffles bound with fresh passionfruit creme patisserie, topped with coconut flakes and fruit; are items that you could happily eat all day. There's also a wider range of salads, quiches and sandwiches.
Happily, owners Stephanie Hancock and Guy Wachs assure us that the affordable prices will remain the same despite recent increases in food prices. Fresh in-house sparkling cordials are addictive and made from real fruit, in line with their philosophy of proudly making everything from scratch, but somewhat weak Vittoria coffee may disappoint those who want more from their java jolt.
